Discover more about chemical fixings and the importance of correct installation. Chemical fixings are widely used in the industry due to the benefits of high performance in all substrate types, closer spacing and edge distances and high strengths for fixing rebar and threaded studs. We look at the importance of hole cleaning and replicate installation methods that we see on sites and perform pull tests to produce comparison results. Etag supply a wide range of chemical resins and accessories for all your application needs from premium brands such as Sympafix and DeWALT.
Launching Etag’s Centre of Excellence – technical advice when you need it. The Centre will focus on training, best practice and resources on Etag’s vast product range. Bringing together industry standards with innovative products and highlighting correct procedures in construction. Short videos will be provided on certain products, giving demos and technical information from Etag’s team and guest suppliers.
‘The short videos will give answers to questions our customers have on products’, says Technical Support Manager, Ian Harris.’ In the current climate, we can’t get out to site as often as we would like to and provide demos. Our videos will provide technical knowledge and allow customers to see the full extent of our service as well.’
Ian has been working within the fixings industry for a number of years in various roles in technical support and product training. He is also a member of the Technical committee of the Construction Fixings Association.
Well known brands will also feature in the videos, starting with Sympafix. ‘They have innovative and unique products that can bring efficiency without loosing any quality of work’, Ian states. ‘Going forward, Etag will be working with more of our suppliers to highlight the innovation within the construction industry.’
